Such a fun book--but don't get too cocky...I thought I had mastered these cryptograms as there were many many pages in the middle that I was doing with no hints whatsoever...but then they got harder. Lots of fun and a great time killer if you are waiting at a restaurant or doctor's office and want to use your brain rather than staring at your phone like everyone else! :-)

This book of puzzles is my least favorite of the many that I’ve purchased over the years. Sentence structure is somewhat lacking, which is a key clue component of a cryptogram. The solutions often seem like they are written by someone for whom English is a second language: “ Artist has it over photographer; he can paint countryside and leave out the billboards.” Also, slightly sexist. Pass this one up and opt for the many others available.

This is a very great presentation well worth purchasing, not only the content but the ease placed upon users of this book. The printing, the spacing and the binding together I would describe as user friendly. The first cryptogram book I purchased, "Humorous Cryptograms" was lousy, a real bummer and a waste of money. If it was selling at 10 cents per book, it would be overpriced

Where do I begin? I loved this book. Leland McClain is my new hero. He's young in age but so beyond his years in everything else. As we learned from book 1, he is only attracted to women older than him. Kimberly Hampton is definately not looking to get into a relationship with anyone much less someone who is younger. These two are now working together and the attraction is undeniable. Leland's attraction to Kim pushes him to persue her. He is strong and confident and used to getting his way. Kim has a troubled past and does not trust her judgement in men. And he's younger. Is she strong enough to fight the attraction? Let the fireworks begin!!! Alexandria House is a master at weaving "I didn't see that coming" into her books. Let me tell you, there were quite a few twists and turns in this book. I just loved it!!! And lets not forget the supporting characters such as Aunt Ever and Uncle Lee. Love me some Uncle Lee. And of course having Big South and Jo making appearances in the story. Looking forward to the other books i'm sure Ms. House will be coming out with for the McClain family.

How do I love Leland ? Let me count the ways. Hmmm .. way too many to put a number to it. I just absolutely LOVED this book. Didn’t think Ms. Alexandria could top Big South .. but she came close with Leland. The dialogue between Leland and Kim was so off the chain funny. I was highlighting the hell out of my Kindle. When she tried to break up with him and he said to her .. “that’s not gonna work for me”, I thought I was gonna pee my pants. My eyes got big right along with hers. Too damn funny!!Ohh .. can’t forget to mention his Big Brother Big South and his family dogging him about his love of older women .. calling his women anything from Agnes @ the Shady Pines Nursing home to Mildred, the old soul. They had some real, off-the-chain, bust-a-gut, wat-da-hell conversations. Absolutely excellent writing by Alexandria House !!Kim and Leland’s relationship made me laugh, smile and cry happy tears. He really loved her! However, Kim’s 20 year old son did NOT like Leland. They had a very strained relationship as players in the NBA. Who would want your mother sleeping with a fellow player? Loved and appreciated how Ms. House didn’t gloss over that relationship to make it a happy-ever-after one by then end of the story.Don’t want to give the story away but the abuse that Kim lived through really showed how it affected the relationship she had with her son. Very well written !!Kim’s BFF “Z” was a trip. A really good side character to the story. All in all , this was a great read and a great buy !!!

This is the second book I've read by this author and I moved on to this one because I really enjoyed the first book of the McClain Brothers. This was so not what I expected it to be yet it was so much more. The connection Kim had to Armand was NOT what I thought it was in the beginning of the story and when I found out what the connection was and why he hated Leland it totally made sense. What I loved about this story is that the author pointed out that age doesn't determine maturity and when the love is real nothing else matters. There was a bit of comedy that had me cracking up laughing..especially the name Harvey...I bout died laughing when I got to that part Leland is a fool and so is uncle Lee Chester. I really enjoyed this book even moreso than the first. I hope this isn't the end because there is so much more to learn about the characters in this story, especially with the rest of the McClain brothers Neil and Nolan as well as Kat their sister. Hopefully we get to hear more from them all soon.

It was a toss up on who I luv more Leland or Big South. Leland got a special place in my heart ♥️. He overcame a lot and Kim IMHO put him thru some heart burns. What can I say about Kim. Both her and her son need counseling. She was guilty about her past and was an enabler to her son bad a$$ behavior. The son was another story and hopefully can get is life together piece by piece. As always there are twists and turns with the his author. Read this book in one sitting and finished it 1:30 am this morning. It was a page turner for sure!I don’t know how the author will top these two books for the upcoming twins.Great read.

Wow! I cannot express how much I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was truly everything!After “Let Me Love You,” I really didn’t think another McClain brother would be able to hold a candle to Big South, but Leland is on a whole other level. His maturity and sexiness just jumps off the pages. The way he loves Kim (and Little Kim 😉) is just so perfect.Kim had a lot of hurt that she was holding on to from her past. I had to keep this in mind often as I became frustrated with her for what she put Leland through at first. I had my suspicions about what was going on with her son but to prevent giving anything away, I will just say that I was still surprised to find how deep their troubles went.This book has the perfect amount of romance, hot sex scenes, intrigue, family love and comedy. It was so well written and the characters are so well developed, I just know I will be reading it a second time.So far the McClain Brothers series is off to an excellent start! I see really good things coming for Nolan, Neil and hopefully we also get to read Kat’s story. Keep em coming Ms. House!
