I can't tell you about this book personally as it is about a world I know little about. My husband though is all about networking/ethical hacking and such and said this was one of those books everyone in his world should have on hand. So I got it for him as a gift. He is very happy with it! Who would have thought programmers and such, with their lives on the computer, would still have use for books like this. It isn't a small book either. LOL

Several pages are missing as shown in the attached photos. From page 230 it goes directly to page 279. The last sections of the TCP chapter are missing, the whole chapter 12 is missing as well as the majority of chapter 13.At another point, the chapters are messed up and from page 230 it goes back to the UDP chapter, as shown in the attached picture.This is really not acceptable.

Watch out for missing pages from page 231 to 278.Whole lot of TCP and entire Topology Chapter are missing. The publisher just skip pages 231 to 278.

A must have book for anyone looking to dive into the nuances of TCP/IP. It's highly readable, digestable, and makes the complexities of the protocol suite accessible to practically anyone. A permanent part of my CCIE reference library.

As an engineer who has had to read countless technical books, this is by far one of the best written technical books I have had the pleasure of reading. The material is clearly written and provides a logical progression that allows someone with minimal networking background to get up to speed very quickly on the inner workings of the internet.

This reads pretty heavily, as it is a college textbook. That said I found the illustrations to be extremely helpful and the technical difficulty of the material appropriate for the level we were at. Good textbook for a favorite subject of mine.

Fills in a lot of good information on various protocols but the index is not helpful when looking up topics. The index just gives many pages numbers to look at under a broad topic.

This Bible is stunning! The cover says, "God is within her. She will not fall." It's mass printed, but has a hand painted look and is designed by artist Edna Marie Esparra. The sides of the Bible are gold. The inside pages are typical of a Bible pages except it has wide margins with lines to make it easy for journaling and notetaking (no illustrations interspersed like the illustrated Bibles). The cover is smooth and shiny, with heavy cardboard (not bend-y like imitation leather Bible covers). Over time, I could see the edges of the covers getting bent or splitting over time, but that just means I should probably sew myself some kind of Bible cover or small tote to carry it in to protect those edges. It's a really, really minor issue for me with an otherwise lovely Bible that I'll be excited to use!This Bible is part of the Artisan Collection by Zondervan. There are four different covers (all different colors and different hand painted designs on each). I haven't seen those Bibles, but I'm assuming they are just as stunning as the pink floral cover. The navy succulent cover is my second favorite of the collection. Note: I got a copy of this Bible in return for me posting my honest review of the Bible.

I love Bibles that allow one to either write her own thoughts or to draw something as a reminder of the verse(s) she has read.This Bible is BEAUTIFUL on the outside. AN absolutely beautiful cover---kind of a hard back cloth.The inside was a bit of a disappoint to me. For some, unknown, reason, I had a thought that there would be bigger spaces and places to write or draw and I thought there would be preprinted drawings throughout the Bible to color. But,alas, I was incorrect.Oh, well. It is still a wonderful Bible.The features of this Bible are listed above in the Book Description if you are interested in more features. The NIV Artisan Collection Bible by Zondervan is so pretty! There are four cover styles in this collected designed by Edna Marie Esparra, founder of Everlasting Words Designs. I’m reviewing the pink floral edition with Psalm 46:5 quoted in metallic script. The other designs include navy succulents, teal music notes, and pink daisies with butterflies for girls.What’s really unique about this Bible is the hidden art when the pages are fanned! It’s such a cool feature! The pages are gold gilded with a hint of the floral design if you’re at the right angle.The other features include: Zondervan NIV Comfort Print® typeface (9.9pt), words of Jesus in red, not one but TWO ribbon markers, wide lined margins for notes and artwork, and a few lined pages in the back for notes.While the pages do appear a bit on the thin side, they do feel sturdy and turn easily. They’re also not white, but more like… Almond? Using flash shows the color better than my awful kitchen lighting.Overall, I’m very impressed with this Bible. If you’re looking for a super girly journaling Bible in a translation that’s easy to understand, this is the one for you!*I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Fun little book showing photos of some truly creepy dolls and featuring neat little write ups. The book is small and many of the dolls featured weren't actually scary in any way, just "vintage" and given old-timey named like "Prudence" (I would have preferred if all the dolls photographed were actually inherently scary and messed up, as opposed to just being old) There were a few dolls though that definitely were creepy- the stuff of nightmares, but I'd say no more than 10-20% of them fit that bill and the rest looked like pretty much any doll you'll find in Value Village in the "collectibles" section (namely, cheap old porcelain dolls) or the odd retro "baby" doll with a slightly daffy look on its face. Walk into any thrift store and you run a good chance of coming across 2 or 3 dolls that are as creepy as the majority of dolls in this book. This book could have given information about real life haunted dolls, too (such as Robert the doll) and it didn't. I give it 4 stores for the unique subject matter... I just wished it had been a little more refined. A history of dolls and doll making and their use in voodoo and witch craft would have been a nice touch, too.

Love this book. I bought it used and it was in excellent condition. The author has a very good sense of humor and makes references to things I thought I only "got". The dolls are indeed very creepy. I have hated dolls since I was a child. They have always scared the living hell out of me. Even Barbie sends shivers down my spine. It's a small book and a very fast read-it's mostly photos of freaky looking dolls with droll commentary by the author. Good little coffee table book guaranteed to spark conversation. Good job!

I'm sure lots of other daughters welcome being handed down the dolls their mothers played with when they were little girls, but I took one look at my own mom's doll, which has TEETH, and said, "No thank you!" I have always been creeped out by dolls and this book reiterates why, whether it's seeing a scary little monster saying it wants to smother me in my sleep or one who is most likely to run at me with scissors. Yeesh. Even when a doll's quote is seemingly innocent, the look on its face says otherwise. In between the creep factor is a lot of fun, goofy humor. The yearbook approach is clever and the author's captions suit each doll uncannily well. The book also has a cool design, which adds another layer of visual appeal. Creepy-Ass Dolls is just a really fun and kooky book for anyone creeped out by dolls themselves and also those brave enough to be in the same room with one.

I bought this book for my niece jennifer, who is deathly creeped out by dolls. I was hoping there would be more scary dolls but this book takes a light hearted look at the subject. I was hoping to give her nightmares but this book wont do it. Maybe next time

This book is a big hit with everyone I give it to. Laugh Out Loud jolly good time!This book is a great stocking stuffer, and/or coffee table item. Just don't put it on the night stand, or under your bed!

Sooo funny! Got it for my son's birthday! He likes those scary movies where killer dolls come alive and all that crap! :) He liked this book a lot!

Gave this book to a friend for a Christmas present. He loved it even more than I had hoped. We have a macabre and crazy bitchy sense of humor, obviously.

There is a little story with each picture. Meh. Just give me more creepy pictures, that is what the book is all about, right?
