It has been approximately 2 years since my conversion. Since my conversion, I have read books written by many respectable people and each book helped me progress spiritually and understand the one true religion. I’ve read from St. Augustine, St. John of the Cross, St. Theresa Avila, Venerable Louis of Granada, and many other great souls.However, everything I have read before seems so small compared to the all the treasures that this book contains. My soul was deeply transformed with every sentence, and I feel extremely privileged and blessed to have been chosen to know more in detail about Our Mother’s life.I feel I have gained a deeper understanding of what our relationship with God is supposed to be, and I urge anyone to read this book. Please pray for my soul and pray for an even deeper conversion.

From before her birth toher assumption into heaven and beyond- you will learn much about the early church.I particularly enjoyed the chapters on the early life of Mary and the Nativity.The book helps to define the roles that the Father, Son and HolySpirit played in her life (and ours). It also gives us insight into the home lifeof our Lord, Jesus when he was on earth. Finally, some information on St. Joseph !The many examples Mary sets for us will help me to live a better life.This book has brought me closer to our Blessed Virgin Mary andour Lord, Jesus Christ.

Before I begin this review I have to say some things about any book written by a Mystics. First, they have been approved by Rome in this way: the work does not contradict the Catholic teachings in any way; there is nothing in the work that will lead Catholics away from the Church; the reader is not under any obligation to believe anything that is written by the Mystics; and finally, works of the Mystics are NOT to be considered the fifth gospel, they are merely writings of people who CLAIM some personal closeness with God, one of the Saints, or with Mary herself.Having said that, this work is a very good read. Much of what is said about Mary can be correlated to things said of her in the Bible - but bear in mind that Mary stayed in the background where she wanted to be and therefore little is known about her private life. Luke is a very good source for information about the Holy Family and Mary herself. I think that anyone would truly enjoy this work given the prohibitions and cautions previously stated.

I first encountered this book in You tube, Audiio book. It is great to have and re-read it while you meditate.

Well written and very descriptive. I believe in the Church's teachings about private revelation. With that said, this book can truly enhance your faith. The parts concerning Christ's passion and death are difficult to read, but a necessity for the devout Christian during Holy Week. I would recommend.

Grateful for these mystics and their encounters with Mary, the mother of God. Now we know the rest of the story of salvation.

Thoroughly enjoyable book. Recommended for anyone who would like to know more about the Blessed Mother.

This book is NOT user friendly and the concepts taught are confusing and cluttered, not because of the actual difficulty of the material but because the authors have done so with poor writing and structure (which is odd as framework is what SQL is all about). You are required to use diagrams that are listed in previous chapters when working on future chapter problems, however this isn't because you are building upon what you've learned but rather falling back to something that was overlooked while initially learning it.How this book and it's previous additions are considered to be used in a scholastic environment is infuriating. If not a required reading for your program I would suggest finding an intro to SQL written by different authors. SQL is not very difficult to learn and understand, this book however, is.

I used this book for an intermediate SQL class. The topics covered in the first 7-8 chapters are things I had already learned from an intro to SQL class that used a Casteel book. While I didn’t learn too much from the first 3/4 of the book, it’s (mostly) all presented well and clearly. The material that was new to me were procedures and triggers. When it came time to do problem sets on procedures and triggers, I felt like I was shooting in the dark and this is why I took off a star. It would have been nice to clarify the explanations and/or give more detailed examples. Successfully executing my homework scripts took a LOT of trial and error.

Many have already said what I am about to say. There are quite a few parts of this book that do not completely develop ideas when presenting 'intro' level material to the reader. Chapter 8 specifically was a maddening exercise in futility. You will definitely need supplementary resources in order to compensate for that chapter.

Its ok. Required for class. I did learn a lot from this book ALONG with the teacher's guidance.I do remember the teacher pointing out some typos in this edition; one being that the ">" and "<" where used backwards on one page.

Got it for a class.Didn't use it much to be honest.This edition is very different from the previous. Completely different databases.

Not at all what I was expecting when I bought it. As other reviews have mentioned, it presents the material in a very unorganized and hard to follow manner. It is most certainly not for beginners and only someone who had previous experience would likely be able to understand what the author is trying to convey. There's some useful info in it but overall it's very hard to follow the author's writing structure.

This book is excellent for learning basic SQL. The chapters are easily read and understood and the lessons are helpful and well laid out.

Received it fast, no problems at all.Looks good as new even tho its 'used'.

This is the newest addition to the series of avatar comics, and follows the same formatting as the others. The book is hardback and has quite a bit of weight to it compared to other books. The cover has vibrant colors, as do all of the pages contained in it. The only difference between this version of the comics and the individual volumes is that this contains all three volumes of Smoke and Shadow, has bigger pages, concept art, and notes from the creators in the margins of the pages. For the price, you would be losing money if you bought all the volumes individually, so I highly recommend getting this edition.As for the story, it's no worse than the other avatar comics. It's not better either, but maintains the same level of quality that you would expect from the avatar universe. The plot features Zuko as the main character, as does 2/3 of the other comic series, which can be disappointing if you're expecting much from other characters. The only plus to this is that Zuko's supporting characters are incredibly interesting, and the lore of the fire nation doubly so.Overall, this is an amazing book and I will continue to look forward to purchasing future avatar series comics.

The library editions are the way to go for these Avatar additions! These books are hard cover with a mix of matte and glossy finish. They're all larger books (think the size of a game guide.) The art inside is top notch (as expected) and includes some thoughts from the creators on the side panels. The back includes step by step process art for characters and cover art.Smoke and Shadow, specifically, focuses on Zuko after he has become emperor and the rising tensions between the fire nation proper and long conquered fire nation territories that identify with being Earth nation. A new threat has popped up throughout the Fire Nation where children are being snatched from their homes. Zuko and Aang must find and cut off this threat before the people of the Fire Nation depose Zuko.Of the 4 library editions, this compilation has been my least favorite, but that in no way means that I thought the story was anything less than excellent. I encourage all Avatar fans to read these if they want to continue journeying with Aang and see how the world of Korra is created.

I jumped on the Avatar train way too late and binged all three seasons. Afterwards, I thought I had had enough, but I was intrigued by the availability of a comic book series. I was a bit tentative at first because the show was so good and I didn't want my opinion of the show to go down, but the books have made me even more of a fan. The story has the same tone of the show, and the artwork is amazing. I love how Gurihiru is able to capture the different bending styles.After finishing this volume, I couldn't wait to start "The Search"!

I love this book. After binge watching all three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender with my family, I was seriously missing the gang...most of all, Aang. I kept wondering why they didn't make more seasons and wishing that I could find more stories of Aang after the series ended. I am so glad that I came across the Avatar: The Last Airbender books. The illustrations are beautiful and the dialogue is on point with the characters. I read this book with my boys almost every night before bedtime. It makes us feel like we're back in their world, though I personally still miss hearing their actual voices. I am definitely going to get the other books in this set and highly recommend this book.

This is the first issue of a great series! Off to a slow start, the drawings get better as the story goes, as well as the dialogue. As a matter of fact the second issue features many moments that seem like they come straight out of the show. If you love the series, I highly recommend these comics.The comic series is broken up to 3 issues per storyline. I found this first storyline to be kind of like the author just getting their feet wet in the Avatar universe. The second story, The Search, is where it really starts to get good. But I still recommend the Promise just so you can be treated to Toph's Metal Bending school. It's perfect! There are also some other story elements that you might be sorry you missed if you skip ahead.And, I know it's noted elsewhere, but the creators of the show work closely with the creation of this series as well.

I was so pleased to see this wasn’t the case with the Trivia Storm series.Mike Gonzalez has clearly worked really hard to provide a beautiful and fun to read trivia format unlike any trivia book on the market right now. this answer box format that allows you hide the answers at the bottom of the page was really effective at allowing me to be able to quiz myself alone even if I don’t have friends around to hide the answers for me much like all the other trivia books require you to have.The range was trivia topics was very diverse and I never felt tied down to any one particular trivia topic so it kept me on the toes and challenged me not to get too comfortable with any particular trivia topic. The questions were fun and varied in difficulty throughout the book.This is a book I carry with me when I travel and I have it nearby if ever I need practice with my bar trivia nights. beautiful layout, diverse topics and difficulty. Just a great trivia book and worth the price. I would recommend picking it up

Trivia storm is a poorly written trivia book that has not only an abundance of misinformation but poorly written and grammatically incorrect sentences. Upon reading trivia storm, within the first half hour my cohort and I have discovered dozens of errors in not all forms of content but grammar and spelling. Quite frankly, I wish I had my money back after this purchase. I purchased this book as a gift for a coworker of mine and I am not only ashamed of buying such a poor product but I’m embarrassed that I gave this as a gift. Please, I hope nobody continues to buy such a poorly written and develop the product for which you should save I purchased this book as a gift for a coworker of mine and I am not only ashamed of buying such a poor product, but I’m embarrassed that I gave this as a gift. Inaccurate information. I was excited to get this book but after going through it I was very disappointed extra answers, missing questions, wrong answers it seems like this book was not proof read at all.

I wanted to start reading the Bible again. My giant print King James Bible is very nice, but hard to follow and understand in some places. So, I thought I would read the NIV version. Got that one out and the one I have has print that isn't quite big enough for me to read without my reading glasses. Plus the pages are thin to the point where the text on the other side bleeds through and is annoying. The print in this Bible is great - it is large enough (14 point) and dark enough that I don't need to use my reading glasses. I bought the paperback version with a Bible cover, but it doesn't stay in the Bible cover very well and keeps coming out of the holding flap. So, going to send the Bible holder/cover back and will hope the paperback version will hold up - guess I don't see why it wouldn't. Less expensive than the other versions. My one NIV Bible has an introduction before each chapter and I really like that and miss that in this Bible. No gold leaf around the outside of the pages - but that isn't a deal breaker - just a nice to have. No ribbon for a book mark either. Again - small things I wish it had - but none of them are deal breakers. Christ's words are in red. The large dark print with pages that don't bleed through so bad is what I was after and this Bible delivers that. As I said - I can comfortably read it without my reading glasses, so I will be keeping it.Note - this is the new NIV version, so be ready for it to be worded just slightly different from time to time.

I am now enjoying reading my bible again because I can clearly see the words. Not only in size but the print is darker. It is not as big or heavy as other giant print bibles I have looked at. I highly recommend it.

Arrived sooner than the expected date. Nice and brand new. I opened it up and I loved it immediately. The font style and size of the words are just right and very readable. It's so easy on the eyes it makes you want to keep reading. It's a nice soft cover. I know it's going to tear and get dog-eared from much handling. I'll use this Bible mostly at home since it's heavier than I expected. That's ok. The nice large print more than makes up for it. Something to note is that this an updated NIV translation. When a verse says "my brothers", it now says "my brothers and sisters". I don't particularly like this. I'll transition to the NKJV in the future. Next year, I'll buy a Giant print NKJV Bible just like the size of this NIV Bible. I'm still happy I bought this Bible, it gets me reading!

I purchased 2 of these Bibles in Giant Print for my husband and me. Since getting them, we have beenenjoying the fact that we can see the type so much clearer......We are not that old, 66 and 67, but it stillmakes it much easier on the eyes to sit down and read together. I believe the font is 14, which is quite a bitlarger than what we were used to. Love it!

I am glad I got this because I need a Bible in two different rooms on a regular basis. Having this one saves me from having to always carry one back and forth.I knowingly ordered it, a paper-back. I want to attach something to the covers though so they won't curl.I also wanted large print. Well, I didn't realize how giant it would be. It is a small adjustment to get used to seeing the giant print. Large print would have sufficed for me, I now think. So, take heart if you really need giant print. It is very easy to see and read.

Good print size for me. I normally require 1.50 magnification reading glasses, but I am able to read this Bible without them. I wish I opted for a leather or hard-bound vs the paperback. After repeating openings, the paperback cover curls up. For the price, this is a great deal.

This is described as new but came ripped. Pages are very thin, font is difficult to read, and ink is missing throughout. I would skip this.

When my Bible arrived, I was shocked at the size of it. It was bigger than I expected, but not too bulky or heavy. The print is truly giant print! It has references right after the verses, which are very handy. The cover is sturdy,but not rigid, it's nice and flexible.I ordered one for my Momma and one for myself, and we were both very pleasantly surprised with them. So buy the Bible already!!! :)
