One of the best studies I've done! We used these for our women's bible study and it was well received. The only suggestion is to make the weeks longer. The DVDs are slightly over 1 hour and that takes up a lot of your discussion time.

Entrusted has been a timely study and shift in the spirit for me. I like to say it is God ordained. As I sit with 30 other women every Tuesday in the middle of Nebraska, Beth Moore speaks and releases a fresh message and word straight from the heart of God. 2 Timothy has awaken anew day for me, it is the breath of God ♥️

I love Beth Moore. I have read many of her books. This study is pretty heavy though. I'm struggling to stay focused and get through it! It is good, and she knows her stuff, but if you are looking for a study you can do for a little bit each morning...this might not be the one you want!

my aunt has taught some classes from Beth Moore's studies--she suggested I try one although it would not involve a class--I have been pleased with the content & Mrs. Moore's teachings & thoughts, especially since there is no overtly denominational format--I have a couple more of her studies on my wish list for later--I do recommend this workbook

I love the way Beth makes the people in scripture come alive. I do other studies, but always go back to her, because she truly helps me with my faith.

I learned a great deal in this study as I usually do in Beth Moore's Bible study, but I will say it is homework heavy. Very intense, but worth it.

Love this book study! It was definitely one of my favorites. I wish Beth Moore had more bible studies like this one that is books based. As the study came to an end, and studying Paul's farewell I almost felt like I was loosing a friend. The study has a deep impact and great in-depth look at Paul and Timothy's relationship.

Really great study! It made me want to know more about Paul's life- thankfully there's a study for that!

I love the book .... My only grievance is that the book cover was horribly ripped right out of the shipping box which is solely an "Amazon shipping" issue and not a grievance about the book itself. We value our hard cover books' book covers. It's a shame this cover will have to be trashed (not a happy camper about this but love the book).UPDATE (9/29/2018): I returned the book (it, too, I discovered was damaged) and a few short days later, the replacement was delivered. It's a wonderful book. My great-grandgirl is gonna love it, too!

Eric once again authors a delightful tale that captures children’s imaginations. Children love to read about animals with human characteristics. In this case, a hungry bear is able to mislead an elderly woman, Bubba Brayna. Even though the illustrations show an energetic woman who is busy dusting and sweeping, Bubba Brayna is labeled as a ninety-seven year old who has lost the use of her senses. When there is a knock at the door, she assumes that her invited guest, the local rabbi, has arrived. Instead, a lumbering bear takes part in her Chanukah celebrations. They light the menorah together, play dreidel, and eat many latkes. Bubba Brayna even ties a red scarf around the bear’s neck.Bubba Brayna realizes her mistake when neighbors stop by after the impostor leaves. The children see the animal’s tracks. The bear’s cleverness outwitted this feeble woman.Eric includes a traditional recipe for latkes and an author’s note that provides basic information about Chanukah.Jews whose ancestors came from Eastern Europe have enjoyed latkes for centuries. Now storybook animals are also indulging.

This is by far my favorite Hanukkah book. It's cute, sweet, and playful while talking about how Hanukkah is celebrated. Both of my kids look forward to reading it year after year. So many Hanukkah books are very dry and unoriginal - not the case with Eric Kimmel's works. This book helps Hanukkah feel magical each year.

This book is so cute and my daughter loves it. It’s funny, witty & a great book to make reading it a tradition. At the end of the book there is a latke recipe which I’m going to try. Even children that don’t celebrate Hanukkah would love this book. It’s so well written and the pictures are absolutely adorable!

This book is my favorite Hanukkah book! The story is so darling, packed with humor and kindness. I'm giving it 3 stars because we had this book for only a week before 4 of the pages fell out. The binding/glue was not secure on the paperback version. May have been a defect with this particular book but still a disappointment.

This is great. It explains the holiday without getting too much into the reglious aspects of the holiday.

I used to read this to the children at school during Hanukkah--only it was called The Chanukah Guest and had different illustrations. I bought this edition for my grandchildren. I always liked books by Kimmel and so did the children. His books about Anansi the Spider made the children laugh, and they were good when we were doing lessons on folk tales.

Such a GREAT STORY!! Funny, perfect for Hanukkah! Winner of children’s Jewish Book Award...Loved it!

Hello. I have been studying physics and chemistry for about the last seven years and I am currently a graduate student. I am reading through Baieriein and thoroughly enjoying the book. It does require I think, a bit of a background on waves and oscillations to know exactly what is happening in some of the derivations and an introductory course in chemistry, specifically thermodynamics, helps to recognize how these concepts are put to use. Besides that, the book is straightforward and the text is clear. Baierlein starts with very physically intuitive examples to derive his expressions and express the concepts and then moves to the abstract. The problems in the back, or what I have completed of them, are well thought out and do not ask the read to make great leaps between what is presented in the chapter and what is asked for.If you need a solid and straightforward introduction to the subject I would definitely recommend this.

This was a great book to read, came very quickly and was in good condition. Very informative and helped me learn more about thermal physics.

I had trouble with a quantum book last year due to lacking any real examples. But this book is very nice in providing those examples. Some of the questions in each chapter start to diverge from the book some requiring either to look up values online or to have prior knowledge to something relating to this subject that even a major like myself lacked.

Great book the author has really great examples and also is quite easy to read. Accompanying a Thermal Physics course this book is definitely helpful and a great tool/ reference.

Book has fairly good qualitative descriptions. However the books description and work regarding analytically problem solving is minimal at best. Good for courses that focus on qualitative but bad for courses focusing on the analytic.

The textbook is little to no help when it comes to learning physics. The language is simpler, but it tells you very little about wear equations come from, how they are derived, what the constant values are, and the homework practically leaves you hanging. There are almost no example problems to help you understand actual numerical calculations. Not to mention the Index is completely useless. Even things that the book defines and names are hard to find using the index. I had to use a bunch of tabs to mark where things were. Also, the homework problems are poorly worded. Towards the later chapters, I honestly had the hardest time trying to figure out what the problem was asking for. I learned more online and through wikipedia and other sites than using this book. Also, the overlap in the use of certain variables does not help to comprehend equations and relationships. Simply terrible book.I would not recommend spending that kind of money on this text. I suggest checking the school library or borrowing from a friend or even the professor himself. BTW, don't even try to look for homework help online or even trying to type in keywords from the problem. You aren't going to find anything that is similar to the problems this book asks you to solve.The book physical properties are good. Nice cover finish for a paperback. Pages are solid and well bounded.Thermal Physics

This book was very clear and concisely written. It made my understanding of Thermodynamics greater in depth, than any other resource I have used in the pass.

Not an issue with the text itself, but the equations and figures on Kindle PC are so small they are barely readable even when the font is resized, making the Kindle version of the textbook nearly useless.

If you found Luther's dense theological polemics such as The Bondage of the Will to be difficult (albeit rewarding) works, then this is an opportunity to take a dip in the other end of the pool. I avoid the word "shallow" because there is nothing shallow about either his writing or his theology. Luther discovered grace in Paul's letter to the Romans, and being set free from slavery to the law (in his case, the rituals and traditions of the church), he was finally freed to become a slave of Christ, in whose finished work of propitiation, atonement and redemption he gloried. This brief preface sets the tone of the letter. I enjoyed it on its own merits, but also found it a fitting introductory reading before devouring R.C. Sproul's Faith Alone and The Truth of the Cross - and of course, re-reading the epistle to the Romans itself.

Getting Martin Luther's summary of romans in plain english is a blessing. I know understand why this summary effected Wesley so profoundly. I recommend this to anyone studying the book of Romans.

GLAD TO QUICKLY GET A CLASSIC, CHEAP

The clearest presentation of the whole of Christianity by way of walking one through the letter to the Romans, that I have ever read. Luther addresses the heart, which is the key to understanding law and grace. If our heart has not been radically changed by the Holy Spirit, then all our good works are nothing, even if the world admires us greatly. As Augustine put it, we must want to do what we ought to do, not simply do it. As 1 Samuel puts it, man looks at outward appearance and God looks at the heart.

One of the greatest moment in the history of my faith. Every Christian should read these.

John Wesley lived many years seeking to live a holy life, but it was in hearing Martin Luther's Preface to the Letter of St Paul to the Romans that his eyes were opened to his own need for the grace that comes by faith alone.I was eager to read this for myself and am delighted with this translation. As the Spirit has drawn me to desire a deeper study of Romans I will follow Luther's encouragement to give due attention to this most essential letter. How faithful is our Lord and Savior!
