So, this study guide provides three full length tests. Excellent! However, it only gives an introduction into explaining the test exam preparation and what to expect. Inside, are also the how to score on the exam. This book would be more beneficial to those who have another test prep book to study the content or taken courses on the exam content and only need this book to practice. Perfect for practicing taking the test to see if one is ready or not to take it. If that is what you need, then this guide is for you. I recommend it for test taking. Answers and explanations are provided in great details.I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

You can order, for free, the MBLEx Essential Test Tips video - information on how to do that is on the first page, so be sure you get yours as it may help!This review book is set up in three exams. At the end of each one are the answers, but its not just the answer to #1 is D, it explains why that answer is correct. Perhaps as important, it explains why each of the other answers are incorrect. I much prefer this format as if I choose the wrong answer I want to know WHY its wrong. This saves me a lot of time going back and finding why what I thought was right was actually wrong... I also like this as I can review a few questions if I don't have much time.The book itself is 72 pages long, which is small enough to be easily carried for a quick review.I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher, this is my voluntary review.

I like how the book begins with some general overview information about massage therapy, etc before going into the test questions. I like that the book breaks down the different components that comprise the test (pharmacology, ethics, etc) and I like that there are quite a few different practice questions offered. I really like that the answer keys clearly explain why each answer is correct and why the other choices are not. This book would be appropriate for a person who has been in massage therapy school and is looking to take the certification exam soon. It would also be good for a person considering massage therapy to get a feel for all that is entailed.

This book had a ton more info than I expected. Some of it was a little too advanced for my current level of skills but that just means that I now know what I need to study more. I see this book as a reference to have close by at all times. This book covers more about browsers than I ever cared to know; I highly recommend this reading to anyone wanting to improve your browser exploit knowledge.

One of the best in this field. Are there any other books about browser exploitation? I've seen none. I got a lot from this book, I mean in practice. I didn't even need working samples, as someone complained below (and rank it with 1 star). The main thing about this book is that it gives the ideas of how to do it. It teaches fishing, not fishes for you. If you are an IT engineer you can easily repeat all that explained in this book. Thank you, Wade Alcorn!

a must-read if you are an application security engineer (like myself... not a lot of us out there but we're here...) and esp. if you do web app sec which is what I focus on... invaluable resource. A great, highly informative and useful book. Great follow on to Web App Hacker's Handbook which is The Bible for Web App Sec folks... a must-read!

This book is quite expensive and worthless as of today. All the practice URLs that they mention to use and test do not exist anymore and their Apache server returns 404 for those URLs. The only ones that work are marketing their book and telling you to buy.Case in point Chapter 2 page 34 uses "browservictim.com/userhome.jsp" which doesn't exist on their server anymore.How do you expect people to learn when your live software doesn't work. You should have given a CD with some software to setup locally so that this wouldn't happen. Such shoddy production values.Buyer Beware !!

It dominates the client side in the server-client model.This book covers the way how hackers and crackers attack the browser from a perspective of pretending to be a non-malicious web server sending valid communication to the web browser. The browser exploitation framework project (BeEF) is used to illustrate many of the practical attacks and techniques in the book.The book is organized in 10 chapters based on the attacking method. They are: Web Browser Security, Initiating Control, Retaining Control, Bypassing the Same Origin Policy, Attacking Users, Attacking Browsers, Attacking Extensions, Attacking Plugins, Attacking Web Applications and Attacking Networks. The book closes with an epilogue exploring thoughts around the future of browser security.One of the most interesting chapters in the book is the Web Browser Security section. It explores the micro-perimeter paradigm needed to defend organizations today, and examine some fallacies that continue to propagate insecure practices. Together with relevant browser concepts and core problems with browser security, it introduces the methodology used in the book. If you own some security background, I would say you can read chapters out of order but I would consider this first chapter as a must. It offers a great overview and context.One of the strengths in this book is the level of detail with documentation, references and links. This material is updated.In the weak side, this book is too long. I found this book lacking of rhythm along the most technical chapters but if you like the topics it won't be an issue.In summary, I think this book is a good resource for pen-testers and offensive security practitioners. If offers an accurate vision of browsers security together with a methodology organizing the different and required offensive steps in a practical attack. With a possible second edition, I guess the authors should take in consideration a shorter book. I found this book a bit verbose but an interesting and useful resource.

I bought this along with the hardcover book with the intent of running a study group for the purpose of garnering potential initial leaders for a full blown celebrate recovery at our church, and it worked beautifully for this goal. It is laid out as a workbook to be written in during 8 small group discussion sessions and so it is best paired with the hardcover book Life's Healing Choices as it assigns homework reading out of that book before each session. John Baker does a wonderful job of laying out the recovery principles based on the beatitudes from the sermon on the mount and driving home their application to any of life's hurts, habits, and hangups. When you get Jesus involved in your recovery, true healing begins. I can also recommend the DVD version of this study that has its own workbook to go along with it. It is the same material in a different format which may work better for some groups/circumstances.

I would recommend this book to anyone needing healing from their past hurts. Its simple, straight forward advice and techniques are easily incorporated in your everyday living. Its so helpful if you have an accountability partner. I think highly of the author.

This book is a masterpiece of historical literature that will bring tears to your eyes with stories that you probably had no idea existed. Why had they not been told? Perhaps for many reasons, but one common thread is that it seems these remarkable emigrants who fled Shanghai 70 years needed a voice, and they could not have found a better writer to tell it than Helen Zia. As one of the four main characters of the book, Annuo Liu, exclaimed to Helen: “I’ve been waiting for someone to tell our story.”The most poignant and compelling story of the book is that of Bing – the author’s own mother, who sailed on the last ship to leave Shanghai in 1949, the General Gordon. Helen’s recount of Bing’s life, from misery and poverty in war-torn China, to her narrow escape from Shanghai and her turbulent start in America, is a heart-wrenching but majestically loving tribute to her mother. Sadly, we learn from the acknowledgements – at the end of the book – that Bing suddenly died before Helen’s book was completed. It’s so sad that she did not live to see her story told in The Last Boat.

What an amazing story, all true and so well written. If you feel sorry for yourself, read this book, and you'll think twice. It shows how people can survive and thrive, even during the very worst of times. This book makes you CARE about each person's journey. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Thank you for writing this story. The four main characters' struggles and ultimate successes mirror my own. While we did not leave on the Last Boat we did experience many similar hardships and struggles. My parents first came to the U.S. in 1939, leaving my older brother and me with our grandparents when father went to Michigan to study for his masters degree. It was meant to be a short stay but the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 changed all that. I would not see my parents until after WWII. Meanwhile my younger brother and sister were born in New York. Father did not stay that long and return to New York just before the Communists took over Shanghai in 1949. Father was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and did not expect he had to work to support a family. By the time we rejoined him in 1953. he was struggling. Mother the ever more practical person rolled up her sleeves and went to work. That was quite a challenge for a society woman whose father and father in law were two of the directors and founders of the Bank of China. We struggled. But somehow even at 12 and 14, my brother and I had a burning desire to study and work hard so that one day we could restore our family's fortune and fame. We both worked and went to school at night and received our Ph.D. computer science in his case and nuclear physics in my case. He certainly succeeded. I did my best. We worked hard so that our kids would not have to go through what we had to. They all went to private schools and later Ivy League and other leading colleges and graduate schools. While we gave them all these worldly benefits I often wonder if we also robbed them of their drive. This is why Helen's book, which I will share with my family is a reminder to them of what we had to go through and what they must not forget.

Just a fabulous book. Knowing many friends who are first generation Chinese born in America, and whose parents came through Hong and Taiwan, it was amazing to see how immigrants can go from the top to the bottom in an instant. They left for their freedom, and in some cases probably for their lives, and the paths they took were not easy, not pretty, and certainly not always what they expected. But they persevered. You can not help but think of the current situation - whether the country is China, Mexico, Syria or anywhere - no one wants to leave what they call home, the decision to do so is terribly unsettling and fraught with danger. The ever-present distrust and discrimination and hatred directed against people who are different - by race, by religion, by color - is sadly a chorus that continues to repeat itself. 105 Chinese allowed per year in the United States? Ultimately every story is personal, and that is perhaps what the author wants to portray most - that each story is its own, unique, heartbreaking at times, but hopefully fulfilling.A great book.

This human face of Chinese and American history is presented in such interesting and compelling real life stories that it was hard to put the book down; I found myself thinking about the characters during the day and wanted to get back to reading what happened next. An excellent book, well-written and insightful into history -- Chinese and American.

The main children in the book are so clearly depicted as who they are and who they might become. Even their family members are individualized and loved or really disliked by me. The history of this time in China was understood by me somewhat, as my father, as a Marine, was stationed in Tsingtao after WW2 ended. He did not talk about his time fighting in he war, but shared a lot about what China was like while he was there, including the starving orphans on the streets. This is one of the best books I have ever read.

I am a huge For Dummies fan, but they didn't have one on Fluid Mechanics; so I bought this. I have to say, I definitely appreciate For Dummies more now that I read this book. DeMYSTiFieD doesn't teach/explain everything as well, however it was better than my textbook so I really can't complain. Worth it if you are struggling to grasp the concepts in Fluid Mechanics, but you really have to read everything slowly and carefully...sometimes a few times.

Very sound clear course on fluid mechanics - includes just enough math and formulae to be practical.It is NOT overwhelming, thank goodness.

I bought this as a supplement for my fluid mechanics text book. I don't think it is as good as the "Dummies" series of books but it serves the purpose. The quizzes are helpful to ensure you know the topic before moving on.

The product was just what I thought what I was getting. Happy with it so far.

I got "Thermo-dynamics" for Dummies and this book to help me solve and understand some challenging problems outside my expertise at work and both books came in very handy. I think both would be great for someone who did not have to take a proper class in either, or like me, only academic work I had for both subjects was 1st year physics.Pre-req's: basic physics review; Calculus; or maybe some experience or understanding in basic hydraulics and pneumatics.

To be fair I only got to read a lengthy sample, but I did enjoy it.I would suggest to the author that the book needs a good proof reading. I have experience doing that and will proof your book for 50 cents per page, plus the cost of the book, preferably in PDF format. I found numerous typos, sometimes multiple errors on the same page, which as a former newspaper proof reader, makes my brain stop mid-sentence as I search for my red pencil. No offense intended, but in places, I wondered if you dictated the text into Dragon Speaking Naturally, due to the quantity of errors I noticed, both spelling and grammatical.

Nice, but not really detailed

Useful information. Not the same information other books or experiences people encounter. Out of all books on the subject for sale on Amazon, this one is the most useful.
